DAY 1, WED: DELHI TO JAIPUR
1745 Hrs- Board the Palace on Wheels from Delhi to Jaipur.

DAY 2, THURS: JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING AND THEN TO JAISALMER
0000 Hrs- Arrive Jaipur.
0730-0815 Hrs- Breakfast on board.
0830-1230 Hrs- Morning excursion to Amber Fort and Palace. Make your ascent to the Palace fortress on the gaily caparisoned elephant back. Tour the chambers and hallways of the palace which are famous for the excellence of their design and decoration.
1300-1430 Hrs- Lunch at Palace Hotel.
1430-1645 Hrs- Afternoon tour of Jaipur known as "The Pink City of Rajasthan".
Visit the unique Jantar Mantar observatory which was built in the 1700's, yet even today still looks futuristic or almost surrealistic, the City Palace and its museum, Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds.
1730 Hrs- Palace on Wheels departs for Jaisalmer.

DAY 3, FRI: SIGHTSEEIN IN JAISALMER AND DEPART FOR JODHPUR
0615 Hrs- Arrive at Jaisalmer.
0730-0815 Hrs- Breakfast on board.
0830-1230 Hrs- Sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its Temples, forts and palaces are all built of yellow stone. The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate balconies. See the Patwon-Ki-Havelis, Salim Singh- Ki- Haveli and Ghadi Sagar Tank.
1300-1430 Hrs- Lunch on board.
1700- 1900 Hrs- Afternoon visit the sand dunes and a camel ride to view the sunset, as the sky is set on fire and Rajasthani folk musicians play haunting tunes. It can be an unforgettable experience.
1930- 2200 Hrs- Enjoy dinner with Cultural program.
2300 Hrs- Palace on Wheels departs for Jodhpur. Overnight on board.
DAY 4, SAT: JODHPUR SIGHTSEEING AND DEPART FOR SAWAI MADHOPUR
0730-0815 Hrs- Breakfast on board.
0800 Hrs- Arrive at Jodhpur
0830-1230 Hrs- Morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur- gateway to the desert beyond, home to the Rathores of Marwar. Visit the fort, rising up a hilly scrap, built on the advice of a hermit, which overlooks the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the fort are a number of palaces added by successive rulers. Also visit Mandor, the ancient capital of the state of Marwar. The cenotaphs of the former rulers are imposing and architecturally remarkable.
DAY 4, SAT: JODHPUR-SAWAI MADHOPUR (CONTD)
1300-1500 Hrs- Lunch at Palace Hotel.
1530 Hrs- Palace on Wheels departs for Sawai Madhopur lodge.

DAY 5, SUN: SAWAI MADHOPUR-CHITTAURGARH
0400 Hrs- Arrive at Sawai Madhopur.
0600-0700- Breakfast on board.
0700-1000 Hrs- Game vewing in the sanctuary by jeeps/ canter.
Ranthambhore Wildlife Sanctuary extends over an area of 392 Sq Kms of thick forests. The place abounds in scenic beauty, requisite refuge for both carnivore and herbivore. The numerous valleys and flat hill tops form picturesque surroundings of the 13th century historical Ranthambhore Fort. The tiger and leopard are the main predators found in this reserve. Hyena and jackal are the scavengers, sloth bear and wild boar are the main carnivores. The main herbivores found in this park are spotted deer, Sambhar deer, Neelgai (blue bull), antelope, chinkara (Indian Gazelle) and the common langur.

1530 Hrs- Arrive at Chittaurgarh.
1600- 1800 Hrs- Sightseeing at Chittaurgarh. There is no place in Rajasthan with a history more romantic than that of Chittaurgarh. The centre of Rajput resistance against Mughal rule. It was here that Sisodia Rajput warriors on many occasions gave their lives preferring death to dishonour and surrender. This city was ransacked atleast three times before it was finally abandoned and the capital moved to Udaipur. The glory of Chittaurgarh is the tower of victory, Jaya Stambh erected by Rana Khumba to commemorate his victory over Mohammed Khilji of Malwa in 1440. Its nine storeys are covered with sculptures of Hindu divinities.

DAY 6, MON: CHITTAURGARH-UDAIPUR-BHARATPUR
0645-0715 Hrs- Breakfast on board.
0730-1930 Hrs: Sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Stopping first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies, and the peacock courtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion- Ki- Bari gardens, the Jagdish temple and the local folk museum.
1230-1430 Hrs- Lunch at Palace Hotel.
2000 Hrs- Palace on Wheels departs for Bharatpur.
Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 7, TUES: BHARATPUR-AGRA-DELHI
0600 Hrs- Arrive at Bharatpur.
0730-0800 Hrs- Visit the National Bird Sanctuary.
Bharatpur (Ghana) once the former hunting preserve of the royal family of Bharatpur, the sanctuary is home to storks and nearly every other kind of bird imaginable. You'll see more than 250 different species nesting on the tops of trees and along the roadside, as well as snakes, lizards, exotic fish and monkeys.
DAY 7, TUES: BHARATPUR-AGRA-DELHI (CONTD)
Lucky visitors can spoy the rare Siberian Crane that migrates to this preserve annually. Also found are Chital, black buck, deer and other varieties of animals.
0830- 0930 Hrs- Breakfast at Forest Lodge.
1030-1130 Hrs- Visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th Century. It was a veritable fairytale city and its ruins are still in pristine condition. Also visit the Buland Darwaza the largest gateway in the world.
1300 Hrs- Lunch on board.
1500- 1700 Hrs- Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra city. Visit the impressive Agra Fort and of course, the most perfect architectural monument in the world- The Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is the mausoleum of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved spouse of Shah Jahan who died in 1630. The Taj is a remarkable for its perfect proportion and rich Pietra Dura, with minute details executed with great skills. The building, often styled " a dream in marble" is said to have taken at least 22 years (1631-1653) to build.
2000 Hrs- Palace on Wheels departs for Delhi.
