Arrive at Chennai airport. Meeting assistance and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram
Following breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing tour of Chennai : the national art gallery & museum, Fort St George, a drive along the marina beach, St. Mary's church and Mylapore temple. Afternoon depart for Mahabalipuram by road (40 kms /01 hr). Upon your, arrival check in to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram
Following breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, well known for their rock hewn temples, sculptures and the worlds largest stone bas relief. The fantastic Shore Temples are among the most talked about and most photographed monuments in the country. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry-Tanjore
After breakfast, drive to Thanjavur (230 kms /05 hrs) en-route visiting Pondicherry -- A French colony till 1954, Pondicherry borders the ocean & still has a distinctly French flavor to it with its mediterrain waterfront & cobbled streets. After sightseeing in Pondicherry continue your drive to Tanjore as it is now called, is an ancient Chola dynasty town renowned for the Brahadeeswara temple, now a World Heritage monument. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Tanjore
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a sightseeing tour of Thanjavur visiting the Brahadeeswara and other temples from the Chola dynasty. Following visit proceed for Trichy by road (56 kms /01 hrs). Trichy, once the Chola citadel was also briefly ruled by the Pallavas and the Pandyas. Upon arrival check in to your hotel.
Late afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Trichy visiting the rock fort temple, and the island of Srirangam. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 : Trichy-Madurai
Following breakfast, drive to Madurai (142 kms /03 hrs). The city is known for its rich heritage, culture and historical background and is famous Shree Meenakshi Temple. Upon arrival check in to your hotel. Later in the evening witness Temple ceremony at Meenakshi Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : Madurai
Following Breakfast at the hotel proceed for sightseeing tour of Madurai city visiting -- The Shree Meenakshi temple, the teppa kulum -- a tank with an island temple and Tirumalainaik palace. Afternoon free to explore on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 : Madurai-Periyar
Following breakfast drive to Periyar (173 kms/4 ½ hrs). The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the best maintained wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India ,giving an opportunity of spotting elephants, leopards, tigers and bisons amongst various other species of flora and fauna. On your arrival in Periyar check in to your hotel.
Late afternoon enjoy boat ride on Periyar Lake in Nation Park to watch wildlife. After breakfast a short jungle trek with a naturalist to watch flora, fauna and avifauna. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 : Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom and check in to your hotel. Rest of the day enjoy the natural beauty and spice plantation. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 10 : Kumarakom - House Boat
After breakfast, board House Boat in the backwaters of Kerala. Cruise takes you through the palm fringed canals and is a unique way to discover Kerala. Evening enjoy candlelit dinner on board houseboat. Overnight on board of the Houseboat.

Day 11 : House Boat - Cochin
Following leisurely breakfast, disembark from the house boat and drive to Cochin by road (70 kms/1 ½ hrs). Cochin has recently given new name "Kochi" is the palm green commercial capital of Kerala. Upon arrival check in to your hotel.
Evening you will be taken to witness spectacular Kathakali dance show. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : Cochin
Following breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing tour of Cochin covering - St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue and the Chinese fishing nets.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 : Depart Cochin
Breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure in Cochin until transfer to the International Airport in time to board your flight home.
